Subsistem parte da barbacã e as torres que flaqueavam uma das portas da cerca. No séc XVII teve obras de adaptação a fortificação abaluartada que envolveram o primitivo recinto fortificado.</font></p> <p><font size="1">The country´s northernmost outpost - is a small border town sitting high above the Rio Minho.
