Church of Sta.Maria de Fiães

This Cistercian Monastery, built in the first half of the 13th century, was reformed in the 17th and 18th centuries, wich saw extensive alterations to the façade and the interior of the naves. Original medieval features include the chancel, doorway and outer walls of the naves.The tomb in the south nave, dating from the 15th century, contains the mortal remains of Fernão Eanes de Lima, father of Leonel de Lima, the 1st Viscount of V.Nova de Cerveira.
